Frequently Asked Questions

& Information on Pricing

  • My private pay rates are $160/hour for individuals and $180/hour for couples.

  • Yes. I am in network with the following insurances: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Kaiser, Select Health, and United Healthcare.

I can also provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if I am out of network with your insurance.

Please note that it is the client's responsibility to confirm coverage with insurance, and to cover financial costs if insurance declines payment.

I do not bill insurance for couples sessions at this time.

  • I am committed to doing my best to make therapy accessible, and have a few openings for clients who would like to be on a sliding scale at any given time. My low rate for sliding scale sessions is $90. Please reach out to me if you are interested in a sliding scale spot.

  • I understand that unexpected situations arise and that there may be times when you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If this happens, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible. This allows me the opportunity to offer the appointment time to another client who may be waiting for services.

When appointments are missed or cancelled without sufficient notice, the reserved time cannot be offered to someone else. Because therapy is both a clinical service and a time-based professional commitment, late cancellations and no-shows have a direct impact on my schedule and practice.

To balance compassion with the needs of the practice, the following policy applies:

    • First late cancellation or no-show: You will be charged half of your regular session fee.

    • Any late cancellations or no-shows after the first occurrence: You will be charged the full session fee($150 for individuals, $180 for couples).

Please note that this policy also applies to those using insurance, as I cannot submit missed sessions for reimbursement.

This policy is not a punishment; rather, it is a way to maintain consistent availability and high-quality care for all clients, including you. If you have questions or are experiencing circumstances that make cancellations difficult, please feel free to discuss this with me. I’m committed to working collaboratively to support your access to care while maintaining the structure necessary for effective therapeutic work.

  • Yes. I am available for telehealth sessions throughout Colorado.

  • Yes. I am available to see clients in person from my office in Boulder, Colorado, in the Steel Yards Office Complex off of 30th Street and Valmont.

  • I specialize in supporting people who are pregnant, parents, considering parenthood, or navigating challenges related to fertility or loss. I am committed to providing compassionate, high-quality therapy to all individuals, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, class, ability, or socioeconomic status.

  • Therapy sessions are 55 minutes long.

  • I typically recommend that all new clients begin with weekly sessions for at least the first four weeks. This helps us establish therapeutic rapport and gives us a solid foundation to build on. From there, we can adjust the frequency of our sessions based on what feels most supportive for you.

Some clients appreciate the consistent space therapy provides for reflection, processing, and rest, and choose to continue meeting weekly. Others find that bi-weekly sessions fit their needs well. Some clients who are in a “maintenance phase” of therapy feel that monthly sessions are sufficient.

Ultimately, the goal is to create a schedule that aligns with your needs, supports your growth, and feels both sustainable and effective. I'm here to work with you to find the rhythm that serves you best.

  • The length of therapy varies depending on individual needs. Some clients seeking basic tools and support may find 6-12 sessions sufficient. For those working through more complex or layered experiences, meaningful progress is often made within 6 months to a year of weekly or bi-weekly sessions. Regardless of how long therapy lasts, my goal is for you to leave each session — starting with your first — with a sense of hope, clarity, and insight on how to move forward.

  • Absolutely. You are welcome to bring your baby to session, whether in person or virtual. Many parents find that having their baby close provides comfort, supports bonding, and helps the therapeutic work feel more connected to real life. Your unique experience matters here, and if having your baby with you feels right or makes attending sessions easier, we will make space for that. If you are unsure whether bringing your baby to session feels right to you, we can also make space to curiously and compassionately explore any hesitations that may be coming up for you.

  • I believe medication can be a helpful tool for some people, especially when they’re navigating very intense symptoms or longstanding challenges. At the same time, I fully respect each person’s agency over their own body, including the choice not to take medication. I may offer medication as something to consider or discuss, but I will never pressure you or judge your decisions around it. You are always in charge of what feels right for you.
